MaxiVigil Alarm Terminal version 1 is an proof of concept for a “off-grid” solar powered device that provides 2 alarm inputs. The proof of concept was created to attend the needs of a client in Brazil. For marketing/business reasons the project was discontinued.
Alarm Inputs can be connected to generic, passive open/close switches. A door or window’s magnetic switch is an example of a passive switch that can be connected to MaxiVigil terminal. When a connected switch is opened, the terminal sends an alarm to the customer via email through their cellular network.
Optionally, one input can be connected to a temperature sensor.
Web Portal
During the proof of concept test a user portal was provided for customers to manage their alarms: enable/disable, rearm (when set to manual rearm) and check heartbeat/alarms logs.
